Instead of overwhelming yourself with unrealistic goals, set attainable ones. For instance, don’t set a goal that you will workout 7 days a week when you know that realistically, you will only be able to workout 4 days a week. At the same time, don't sell yourself short, by not committing to any exercise activity at all. Start from the top and think about your overall vision and go from there. You will feel much better and be on your way to creating a path to achieve your goals, whatever they are!

Casey Anthony
I can understand the outrage of the Casey Anthony verdict. I mean it’s seems like she did it right? What I cannot understand are the death threats and physical attacks. Recently, a woman in Oklahoma was mistaken for Casey Anthony and attacked.
I think having passion for something is great. I feel like you don’t live life to the fullest if you don’t have passion for something. I just wish the people making the death threats could get passionate about improving our educational system or finding a cure for cancer.
One thing I do know is that the loss of a child saddens me. As a parent, I would lose my mind if something happened to my child. RIP Caylee.
Thoughts on Food Inc
Over the years, I have become a bit of a food nazi. I especially became concerned and particular about the food that enters my home when I had my son nearly two years ago. I had never seen Food Inc, but did some research on my own combined with what I call common sense and voila, food nazi. I generally don’t like the term nazi, but it seems to fit the description that I’ve seen on quite a few message boards.
Packing my sons breakfast, lunch, two snacks plus emergency snacks because God forbid he eat school food, yup...that’s me. I am THAT mom! I buy organic chicken, grassfed beef, follow the dirty dozen and clean 15 and wash all fruits and vegetables with soap and water.
I’d heard a lot about Food Inc and finally it turned up in our Netflix que. I thought the film was excellent and wish that it could be shown in schools, PTA meetings, child birthing classes, child care centers, and restaurants. You name it! Everyone should see it. I really wish that people could understand what we are doing to our food system. Let’s get to the root of the problem and stop subsidizing junk food and raising cattle, chickens and pigs in disgusting conditions. Sometimes going against nature backfires.
I am frustrated with the “system” as a citizen of the world and as a mother. I definitely vote each time I go the supermarket and hope that more and more will do the same.
