Sometimes Cute Really Is Safer

Thursday, March 01, 2012
I see the faces of parents drop when they are informed that traditional bumpers are unsafe for babies. Research shows that when using traditional bumpers, the lack of ventilation puts babies at a higher risk for SIDS. Sara Bloom, Mom and SIDS advocate, decided to do something about it. Oliver B was created because like most of us, Sara Bloom wanted a cute nursery. Just a plain sheet was boring so she created amazing nursery bedding to spice it up!

Oliver B bumpers are ventilated allowing air to flow through the crib reducing your baby’s risk for SIDS. The bumpers fit any crib and the adorable tie feature prevents the bumpers from sliding and gives your nursery the luxury feeling that it deserves.

For even more design, check out Oliver B nursery sheets. The patterns and bold colors are sure to give your nursery that extra something and keep your baby safe at the same time. Bookmark and Share

Ability to Breathe

Thursday, February 09, 2012
We all know how moisture can have negative affects on the skin. EPIBI has developed two amazing products to combat the many issues caused by moisture. The nursing pads are washable and have an antimicrobial layer to wick away moisture quickly and dry super fast to help prevent skin irritations and infections. The starter pack comes in a cute laundry bag as an added bonus!

EPIBI also created washable diaper liners to help heal and prevent diaper rashes. The diaper liners are contoured for the perfect fit and thin for added comfort. EPIBI’s patent-pending fabric blend quickly wicks away moisture like ammonia and sweat. The liners work with cloth and disposable diapers!

EPIBI products are designed by wound care physician Dr. Elly Hann. Dr. Hann, a board-certified physician with three specialties, developed EPIBI products after noticing that breastfeeding moms and babies were in need of products to protect them from infections and irritations caused by moisture.

Honest? Really?

Wednesday, January 18, 2012
Honest? Another celebrity with a product line right? Not so fast, Jessica Alba is on to something. I too was was concerned as a new mom when I found out that the brands that I’d known my entire life to be for babies were toxic! Although, there are many non-toxic options on the market today from diapers to skincare to household cleaning products, so many parents are still choosing those products filled with toxins.

So what’s so different about Honest? Jessica Alba has done something unique by creating a product line that covers a wide variety of areas. To make it super convenient, you can get everything shipped to your door every month. No more buying diapers from one store and cleaning products from another.

Jessica is absolutely right as she points out that some brands are marketed as eco-friendly, but the ingredients are still full of toxins. Parents must learn to read labels and not simply trust the big bold words on the front like eco, green and organic.

To get my stamp of approval, Jessica has teamed up with Christopher Gavigan, founder of Healthy Child Healthy World, an amazing organization dedicated to keeping our children safe and toxic-free.

I am thrilled that another celebrity has stepped up to help protect our children and environment. Whether to buy Honest or other toxic-free products, Jessica Alba raising awareness and influencing parents is a another step in the right direction.
